I recently visited Komodo Brunch with family and was welcomed by the sounds of a live singer, who brought sunshine to the sky on a rainy day! She was great singing classics to new music with her own spin on them all. I'm not a big fan of buffets however somehow to food placement from a persons breathe to platter seemed like a good distance. The food was great everything from salad to fresh seafood, sushi and sticky ribs was simply amazing. I wish I could remember our waiters name but everyone around was seemingly enjoying their job and having a great day which makes the difference when spending you are out to enjoy family time. I could go on about this place, the decor the open kitchen so simply thank the chefs for their amazing work, the long hallway to the restroom, the attendant there etc... Welcome to Dallas Komodo, we will be back!

Came here on Sunday for a friend's birthday brunch and I am obsessed! The vibe is upscale, trendy, but turnt (special s/o to the DJ - @jaybraymusic on IG)! We all ordered the all you can eat appetizers along with an entree. The buffet was delicious and had a wide variety of options including Dumplings. Biscuits. Fresh fruits. Fried rice. Crispy rice. Bao buns. Salad. Pastries. Chocolate cake. Soup & more. For my entree I ordered the Shanghai noodles which I really enjoyed. They were thick, flavorful, and pretty filling. They also have a bottomless drinks option but I didn't really like the options plus the drinks came by a little slow so make sure to be ON TIME if you get this. (There is a 2 hour table limit) Now back to the music. It was 10/10 and definitely what took this place from 4 stars to 5 stars for me. The Live DJ was definitely catering towards a younger African American audience lol so I had a time. Also just want to note that Komodo is booked and busy so make sure to get a reservation. It's a large restaurant so there was still alot of space even though it was crowded. The location is also great for photo ops. Especially the outdoors area. And valet is $10! In summary, I love it here lol

Located within the vibrant Epic Development in Dallas, Komodo is a captivating spot with its dramatic facade and bamboo indoor-outdoor design. It's a Southeast Asian spot with inventive sushi offerings. Fantastic Dinner. We had the... first things first. An Old Fashioned is a must before any dinner. It's the law. Tempura Rock Shrimp - Crispy Love! Perfect sauce. Tuna Watermelon Sashimi - I needed about a pound of this and would have been fine. - Serrano Hamachi - I absolutely loved this spice! These were perfectly sliced - The veggie fried rice is perfect to shares. It's a very large portion. This is my flavor profile! The service and atmosphere was excellent. Loved it!

Komodo was incredible and that much more, but you have to order enough food for it to be worth it. We got 8-9 dishes for a party of 4 along with two rounds of cocktails; as the portions are on the smaller side. Service was awesome. Our server was so kind and attentive. He really helped us order and choose the fan favorites. I can highly recommend for cocktails: - East Meets West (if you like sweet and vodka based) - Fortunes Told For food options, I'd go with: - Shishito peppers - Steak tacos (2 tacos per order) - Tempura Rock Shrimp - Soup Dumplings - Rainbow Sushi Roll - Sizzling Black Pepper Beef - King Crab Lo Mein - Korean Fried Chicken - Surf & Turf Fried Rice Overall 10/10, I will be trying out there other locations in Miami & Vegas.
